JAC demands release of missing baby

Imphal, December 04 2013 :
Locals of Tekcham under Kakching Police Station conducted a protest rally today demanding the release of a one and half year old baby boy, who went missing from home mysteriously while he was sleeping on December 1 .
The missing baby Leishemba is the son of Phanjoubam Ejouba alias Shyam and Phanjoubam Ongbi Chaobi of Tekcham Keithel.
A Joint Action Committee (JAC) was also formed in connection with the missing case.

Hundreds of people from Tekcham area carried out the protest rally from Tekcham Keithel to Khongjam Keithel decrying the abduction of the child.
A sit-in-protest was also staged by blocking half of Imphal-Moreh Road.
The JAC further submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister and Home Minister through the Deputy Commissioner of Thoubal.
The JAC is demanding the State Government to handover the missing baby to his parents by 4 pm tomorrow and punish the culprits involved in abduction.
The JAC also threatened to launch intense agitations along with various civil society organizations if their demands are not fulfilled by the Government.
