Rotary Club Imphal bags 'Changemaker Winner Award'

In recognition of the humanitarian and community services undertaken, Rotary Club of Imphal has been awarded as Best Rotary Club along with presentation of 'Changemaker Winner Award' from among other clubs in 11 Asian Countries (India, Nepal, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, and Thailand) which comprises the Zone 6 of Rotary International.
The award was conferred to Rotary Club of Imphal by Rotary International President Kalyan Bannerjee, the 3rd Indian to head the world's oldest service club from its head quarter in Chicago, USA.
The Rotary Club of Imphal, which was started in 1974 has been running several regular community services for years including Free Oxygen Cylinder, Free Computer Training, Annual Tree plantation projects, Districtibution of wheelchair and hearing aids, etc.
Apart from that, Rotary Club of Imphal has been supporting visually challenged and acclaimed singer Sunita Nepram by offering an annual scholarship for the past two decades.
Earlier, in recognition of its services, Rotary Club of Imphal has been honoured with various awards including that of Rotary Sportsperson of the Year, Rotary Meritorious Civil Constable, etc.
