Imphal, August 03, 2012:
The long drawn tussle for the post of Sadar Hills ADC Chairman has apparently come to rest with the 14rebel Members including former Chairman SH Seipu finally withdrawing the no confidence motion moved against incumbent Chairman Haokholal Hangsing.
Talking to TSE, a Sadar Hills ADC Member said that the no confidence motion moved against Chairman Haokholal Hangsing was withdrawn on July 30 subsequent upon which the camp of rebel Members opened at Seipu's residence was also dispersed.
Altogether 14 Members, including some Members who supported Haokholal Hangsing when he was elected Chairman after, the success of the no confidence motion raised against Seipu moved another no confidence against Haokholal when he had not completed even two months in office and they were camping at the house of Seipu.

As all the 26 Members of the Council including the two Government nominees are Congressmen, Home Minister Gaikhangam who is also MPCC president was doing his best to resolve the impasse.
There was also every possibility for the two Government nominees to get disqualified if the dissident camp persisted longer.
In case the two Government nominees got disqualified, the rival camps would have 12 Members each which would obviously cause a very tricky stalemate.
Taking all these possibilities into account, the rebel camp opened at Seipu's house was closed along with withdrawal of the no confidence motion said the ADC Member.
