Food items distributed to Anganwadi centres under SNP

Kangpokpi, August 02 2022:
The district officiate of the Social Welfare Department of Saikul Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Project today distributed food items to Aganwadi centres under Supplementary Nutrition Programme (SNP) .
Altogether 249 Aganwadi centres collected food items to further distribute them to beneficiaries in Saikul subdivision, Kangpokpi district in the form of 'take home ration'.
As classes for the beneficiaries are on halt in view of the COVID-19 situation, allotted rations will be distributed to the respective beneficiaries through home visits by the Anganwadi workers.
Food items such as gram, pulses, salt, mustard oil, turmeric powder, groundnut among others were distributed to the eligible beneficiaries, namely, children under 6 years, pregnant women and lactating mothers as per the guidelines laid down by the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India.
District Programme Officer Roselin Doungel; Child Development Project Officer of Saikul ICDS Project Mutum Leimatombi Devi; supervisors and staff were present during the event.
