World AIDS Day held at DBC Maram

As a part of the World AIDS Day observation, the NSS and Red Ribbon Club of DBC Maram organized a "global solidarity" rally in Maram today.
The rally was organised to create awareness about the Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS).
AIDS is a chronic, potentially life-threatening condition caused by the human immuno deficiency virus (HIV) .
The staff and the students, of DBC college actively participated in the rally for "global solidarity" to overcome the challenges posed by COVID-19 on HIV infected persons.
The WHO has chosen to focus on "Global solidarity, resilient HIV services" as the theme for World AIDS Day.
Dr Fr KO Sebastian addressed the staff and students of DBC Maram.
He highlighted four key actions to renew the fight to end HIV; use innovative HIV services to ensure continued HIV care; engage and protect nurses, midwives and community health workers and prioritize the vulnerable, the youths.
Sr Flora Kujur and Fr Sunny Minj, the Vice-Principals also provided necessary support for the success of the event.
World AIDS Day is also celebrated by various organisations throughout the State.
