30 new specialist doctors in Health Dept: Phungzathang

Health Minister Phungzathang Tonsing has announced that the State Health Department has got 30 new specialist doctors and they would be utilized all throughout the State to provide better healthcare service to the people.
He was replying to a query raised by MLA of Chandel Constituency Nunghlung Victor during the Question Hour of the ongoing 5th Session of 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly today.
Minister Phungzathang further stated that posting of specialist doctors in district hospitals depends on the number of sanctioned posts.
There are no specialist doctors in Chandel District Hospital.
However, the Health Department would make necessary arrangement for utilization of the new specialists in all district hospitals, he assured.
Replying to MLA of Oinam Constituency Dr I Ibohalbi, Chief Minister Okram Ibobi stated that the DPC for promotion of 14 Junior MCS officers from Senior Grade to Selection Grade was held on August 4, 2012.The State Government would further consider on their promotion, he added.
Answering to MLA of Ukhrul Constituency Samuel Risom, Forest and Environment Minister Th Devendra stated that there are five wildlife sanctuaries covering 50 villages in the State.
Replying to MLA P Brojen, Revenue Minister Th Devendra said that there is no policy for land allotment in wetlands in Thoubal district.
The list of people to whom land at Lousipat was allotted by Deputy Commissioner of the then Manipur Central District in 1971, was also presented by Revenue Minister in the House.
Answering to MLA of Kangpokpi Constituency Nemcha Kipgen, Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam said that the construction of the office of Deputy Director of Horticulture and Soil Conservation at Kangpokpi has been completed and it can be inaugurated on any convenient day.
Replying to MLA of Thongju Constituency Th Bishwajit, Home Minister Gaikhangam said that there is no proper job security for VDF personnel as they are on voluntary work.
The Home Department has transfer and posting policy for its lower grade employees such as followers, riflemen, Havildars and constables, he noted.
Answering to MLA of Wangoi Constituency O Lukhoi, Chief Minister O Ibobi said that there is provision for opening up of a sub-treasury office at Wangoi sub-division headquarters.
Replying to MLA of Hiyanglam Constituency M Kunjo, Chief Minister Ibobi stated that no control room of Electricity Department has been constructed at Langmeidong, but one such control room was set up at Lai Panganba.
All transformers are properly fenced, he added.
