More condemn bomb attack

In protest against bomb attack at the office of Naga People's Front (NPF) Manipur State unit cum residence of resigned MLA Samuel Risom, the Naga People's Front (NPF) Chandel divisional unit staged a sit in protest at Chandel district headquarters today.
The sit in protest was held in front of the office of NPF Chandel divisional unit located at Japhou Bazar in which several party workers of NPF and elected members of Chandel's Autonomous District Council (ADC) of NPF took part in the protest.
The protestors also held several placards written with slogans like "Stop terrorism", "We strongly condemn bomb blast at NPF Office Imphal", "We want peace & harmony", "our solidarity on Tribal Unity Day", "We reject the proposed new Bill 2016", etc.
NPF Manipur State unit's vice-president Ts Beton, NPF Manipur State unit's secretary Armstrong, NPF Manipur State unit youth wing's working president D Bonny, NPF Manipur State unit's executive member David Charanga and 6 elected ADC members also of the party took part in the sit in protest among others.
Naga People's Front (NPF) Ukhrul division also staged a sit in protest at Gandhi Chowk, Phungreitang, Ukhrul against the bomb attack.
A public meeting was also held at Gandhi Chowk.
During the meeting Ukhrul ADC chairman Dr Yaronsho Ngalung urged the group and individual responsible for the attack to shun violence and called for dialogue to resolve any issue or misunderstanding.
The protestors shouted slogans and held placards reading "We condemn bomb blast at NPF State office, "Shun violence", "We are not against any group or individual" etc.
In the meantime, the NPF division Ukhrul unit also shared solidarity with the people of Churachanpur on of Tribal Unity Day.
NPF councillors, party leaders and NPF supporters of Ukhrul district participated in the sit in protest.
The UNC has also strongly condemned the bomb attack and urged those behind the attack to shun the path of violence and resolve any misunderswtanding, it any, through peaceful dialogue.
