Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh observes "Sarkar Jagao Saptah"

Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) Manipur State joined the Nationwide protest "Sarkar Jagao Saptah/Sarkar Meekap Thoklo" called by Bharat Mazdoor Sangh to-be held from July 24 to 30 by staging a protest demonstration in front of the State office today.
The sit-in was held with strict maintenance of physical distance, said a statement of the BMS Manipur State.
The labourers who attended the sit in held placards reading "Make Registrar for migrant workers", "Ensure full payment during lockdown period", "Repeal anti-labour law at the earliest", "Reinstate pro-labour law", "Make policy for migrant workers who had lost jobs" etc.
during the event, the statement said.
Many demands relating to EPF, regularisation of contract workers, establishment of State Safai Commission, pension scheme for Anganwadi workers, honorarium hike and implementation of wage code were also made, it continued.
BMS North East in-charge, N Tomba Singh, during the protest had urged all to carry forward the work culture for the overall development of the Nation.
Tomba also maintained that labourers should not indulge in any kind of strike in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, it said.
