Covid tests' charges revised

The Directorate of Health Services has revised the charges for Covid tests at Government and private clinics/hospitals.
RT-PCR test would be conducted free of cost at Government facilities/centres while the same will cost Rs 1,400 per test at private healthcare facilities, said an office memorandum issued by the Directorate of Health Services.
TruNat will cost Rs 1,150 (per test on demand) at Government facilities while private healthcare facilities will charge Rs 1,400 per test for the same.
RAT (Rapid Antigen Test) will cost Rs 250 per test at Government facilities while private facilities will charge Rs 400 per test.
All healthcare facilities concerned may not exceed the charges of the respective tests.
Further, the charges at which Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) kits are supplied to private healthcare facilities by the Directorate have been revised.
The details of the revised charges may be had from the Directorate, said the notification.
