CM, O Ibobi going off to Japan leaving the state in complete turmoil is totally unacceptable , Shantikumar Sharma, president, BJP, Manipur state unit said today.
Addressing the media, Shantikumar Sharma said that the SPF government has failed completely in its governance.
It has not been able to bring about an amicable solution to the problem prevailing in the state at present.
Hence there is need for imposition of President's rule.
All NHs in the state has been blocked.
As a result the people have been going through immense suffering.
Prices of essential commodities have risen sky high.
Yet the SHDDC still continues with the economic blockade.
The CM should never have left the state at this juncture, he said.
He further went on to say that the government's attitude of keeping mum after instituting District Re-organisation Committee and proposal made to the SHDDC to give a time for three months is also not acceptable at all.
It has never tried to discuss to the points made by the SHDDC, moreover, in three months time the election code of conduct would come into force and nothing could be finalised.
The BJP also appealed to the SHDDC to withdraw its economic blockade and look for another means of agitation in which case the people at large would also lend a supporting hand.
Answering a question raised by media persons, Shantikumar Sharma said that the Sadar Hills issue has not been put up in the parliament because the SHDDC has never discussed it with the BJP.
