Stand united against divisive forces : Dy CM

Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam has appealed to all to stand united against the divisive forces which are trying to topple the integrity of the State.
He was speaking as Chief Guest of the inaugural function of the biggest festival of Kharam tribe "Rial Kahoi" held at Kharam Pallen in Senapati district today.
Gaikhangam further said that Manipur is a colourful land where various tribes and communities having different cultures and traditions live in peace and harmony.
The State has small geographical area, but it has about 38 recognized tribes and communities.
The people of the State have also been performing well in every field at the national and international arenas.

He appealed to the people to safeguard rich cultural heritage of the State and work hand-in-hand in order to bring progress and development to the society.
Deputy CM also lauded the Kharam tribes for their painstaking efforts to keep their age-old traditions alive even in this modern era, and assured to the villagers of Kharam Pallen of all possible developmental works from the side of the State Government.
The inaugural function was also attended by President of Kharam Union Manipur R Samuel and other leaders of Kharam Pallen.
