Science, art and craft exhibition held at RK Sanatombi Devi School

A one day 'Science, Art and Craft Exhibition' was held at RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya, Pangei on the theme "Sustainable development" today.
Former Vice Chancellor of Manipur University, H Nandakumar Sarma graced the function as the chief guest.
Speaking on the sideline of the programme, Nandakumar stressed on the importance of organizing science exhibitions on sustainable development saying that such exhibitions and seminars will propagate the sense of conserving natural resources to the students and visitors.
Further pointing out that the State witnesses frequent/usual occurrence of inundations and floods during rainy session followed by water scarcity soon after the completion of rainy season, Nandakumar opined that adopting rain water harvesting practice among the masses in the State and stopping wastage of water will minimise such problems to a great extent.
The former Vice Chancellor also asserted that he was impressed by the exhibition adding that students developed many beautiful and attractive model projects using their own creative ideas in the exhibition.
Apart from 70 exhibitors exhibiting their science models, 18 art and crafts stalls were opened in the Science, art and craft exhibition.
