The 3rd edition of festival of music and art on
environment, 'Where have all the flowers gone?' will be held from
May 1 till May 3 at Phayeng.
The event has been jointly organised
by Folksy Triumph and Imphal Talkies since 2014.
The aim of the festival is to honour, respect and protect
environment by highlighting environmental issues and spread-
ing awareness to the people, according to a statement issued
by the organisers.
Tree plantation drive, film screening, bicycle rally from
Palace Compound to Konsang Lampak, Phayeng, exhibition
of Mukna, presentation of traditional dance, musical perform-
ance by renowned folk artistes- Mangka, Eastern Doc, Pebet
and Guru Rewben Mashangva, spot painting competition for
children, presentation of drama by ARDAC: The Sayon, per-
formance by Susmit Bose (Kolkata) and Alobo Naga
(Dimapur), Imphal Talkies and Sinzu Joint are the highlights
of three-day long festival, it said.
The organisers urged revellers not to bring plastic bottles
and disposable cups to the venue and it also requested the
revellers not to litter the venue.
It urged all concerned to
respect the culture of Phayeng.
