Imphal, September 28 2015:
NSCN (IM) has refuted media report which alleged that its cadres were involved in looting some trucks along National Highway-37 .
In a statement issued by its MIP, NSCN (IM) clarified that there is no question of "our cadres" being involved in such "framed up incident" .
The outfit said that it was expected as always that "for every failure of Manipur State law enforcing agency and administrative incompetency under Chief Minister Ibobi Singh and Home Minister Gaikhangam", the NSCN has been blamed.
NSCN (IM) also ridiculed the regime led by Ibobi and Gaikhangam stating that as one of the most heavily militarised zone in Northeast, it is a pity that trucks were being looted right under the nose of "dreaded security arrangement" .
If at all such reports are true, Ibobi and Gaikhangam should "hang their terror boot in shame", said NSCN (IM).
"Without reigning in the hordes of goons and mercenaries created with wicked purposes, designed to counter NSCN but without feeding them properly, they become highway criminals.
In the future, we will suggest the Manipur State Government to probe such incidents first before pointing fingers on NSCN" said the MIP statement.
