18 from NPP including T Kipgen join BJP

The State BJP received a shot in its arams ahead of the November 7 by-elections as 18 NPP leaders including its former president Thangminlien Kipgen and former working president Ch Ajang Khongsai joined the party today.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh announced the joining of the NPP leaders and their followers at an election rally at Motbung, Saitu Assembly Constituency.
The new members were received at the Durbar Hall of the CM's office by Chief Minister N Biren Singh, BJP Manipur Pradesh president S Tikendra, Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba, BJP National general secretary and MP Dilip Saikia, Agriculture Minister O Lukhoi, MLA N Indrajit and BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary L Deben Singh.
Other than former NPP president Thangminlien Kipgen and former working president Ch Ajang Khongsai, other leaders of the party including Dr Ph Jalisana Sharma former senior vice president (org & admin), L Subhas Singh, former vice president (publicity and youth affairs) G Satyabati Devi former vice president cum president Women Front and NPP spokesperson also joined the BJP.
Who else in NPP joined BJP? Zaipou, vice president (i/c Hills); Thongkam Haokip, former general secretary (admin); S Thoiba Singh, former general secretary (organisation); L Thanil Meitei, former general secretary (publicity and youth affairs), Mukta Nongbri, former secretary cum treasurer; Rajkumari Shantibala Devi, vice president (Women Front); Happy Tuboi, former executive member; Thangkai Hangshing, former executive member; Paothang Khongsai, former executive member; Ngamjalen Singsit, former executive member; Thanglienhao Kipgen, secretary (Youth Front); Kongbrailatpam Premjit Sharma, secretary (Youth) and Thangjam Robindro Singh, secretary (Youth) .
It may be mentioned that the relationship between Thangminlien Kipgen and the NPP had been worsening since August when the party's National president and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma expelled him from the party.
