National integration tour conducted

Imphal, January 27 2020:
Moreh Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles, under the aegis of IGAR (South), successfully conducted a National Integration Tour of North East to Pune and Mumbai from January 14 to yesterday.
Comprised of 24 students and two teachers from different parts of the NE States, the tour was flagged off by Prof Jagdish Mukhi, Governor Assam on January 15 .
During the tour, the students interacted with the Governor of Assam and other prominent personalities of military and civil organizations.
The students also visited various prestigious military and civil establishments that included NDA Khadakwasla, CME Pune, Bombay Engineering Group, AIPTC, DRDO R&D (Engrs), Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park, Raj Bhawan Mumbai, Naval Dockyard, Gateway of India, Rani Baug, Humboldt Penguin, and local sightseeing in Pune and Mumbai.
On behalf of the Directorate General of Assam Rifles, the tour was flagged off by OC Transit Camp Guwahati.
Officers also interacted with the students and motivated them to draw inspiration from different personalities and institutions which students visited during the tour and to work hard to become responsible citizens of the Nation.
The students, their parents, teachers, village heads and CSOs expressed their profuse gratitude to Assam Rifles for organising the tour and providing the opportunity to the students of the NE States.
