Cleanliness drive launched

Volunteers of Kakching Runners today cleaned the mud left behind by the tractors and trucks from paddy fields, which passed through Brahma Sugnuroad.
Speaking to media persons, Kakching Runners' advisor Naorem Munal said that the road had been recently Black topped after repeated protest by the people and the drivers who regularly use the road.
He further said that recently, the mud and dirt which fell from the trucks, paddy machines and JCBs plying along the road have caused immense hardship to the people and as such volunteers of Kakching Runners decided to take up necessary actions.
He pointed out that the association along with various clubs will continue this kind of cleanliness drive in the future but also appealed to all those concerned to clean their vehicles before travelling along the road to ensure that nothing is left behind which may cause hindrance to other commuters and the people.
