Three detained for casting pamphlets in House, released later

Imphal, August 26 2011:
Tension erupted in the State Assembly House when three persons threw pamphlets carrying plea for workers community from the VIP gallery inside the House when the House was discussing a private member bill.
The three persons were seized by the security of the House as soon as the ruckus erupted.
The three persons were identified as H Ibomcha, Kh Kalamu and M Rajen from Heirok.
The pamphlets carried plight for the engineering employees in all the five engineering departments of the state government who are not enjoying the benefits of the 6th Pay Commission.
When enquired, it was found that MLA M Lokendra of Heirok A/C gave pass to the trio when they requested him to let in saying that they wanted to see the proceedings of the House.
MLA Lokendra tendered his apology in the House for the ruckus created by the trio.
Later Speaker called for opinions of the members regarding the actions to be taken against the trio.
O Joy requested the Speaker to release the trio after asking the reason for their action inside the House since they might have some complaint which the government is not seeing or discussing.
House leader O Ibobi also requested the Speaker to release the trio since India is a democratic country.
But he expressed serious concerned in the lapses in security arrangement of the House.
Dr I Ibohalbi and other MLAs also requested the Speaker to release the trio expressing serious concern on the security lapses even in the Assembly House.
Later the trio was released after some interrogation.
However, Speaker I Hemochandra told the House that appropriate action against the responsible security personnel will be taken up.
