Imphal, April 24 2013:
On the occasion of its 19th Raising Day, Chairman of the proscribed Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) N Oken has extended revolutionary greetings to all the people of Kangleipak (Manipur) and Western South East Asia (WESEA) as well as to revolutionary organisations of the region and member parties of CorCom.
In his message, Oken called upon the intellectuals and common people of Manipur to study the situation of present Manipuri society and ponder over the facts and proposals of the outfit.
He observed that leaders of various revolutionary organisations in the region have acknowledged that the present revolution movement is declining gradually, and there is the need to find out the root cause and the reasons for the declination of the movement so that the freedom movement can move forward at a fast pace.
While finding out the reasons, revolutionary organisations must leave no stone unturned and the intellectuals of Manipur should also get themselves involved in the process.
On the other hand, the present Manipuri society has become full of useless persons today.
In such a situation, public leaders, intellectuals and thinkers should devise a way out.
But it would not be a right decision to stop the ongoing freedom movement since it is the bounden duty and obligation of every one to fight for freedom of their motherland.
Keeping this in mind, the time has come for the revolutionary organisations, intellectuals and public leaders to join hand for a united force, Oken exhorted.
"Our people are burdened with big problems and unrest since the past decades and the politicians and their followers are spreading rumours that the unrest and chaos are the outcome of revolutionary movement.
Unfortunately, the innocent people believe such rumours and the situation has been only be worsen by the activities of fake revolutionary organisations which are indulging in unwanted activities under the directives of the Delhi government and security forces.
On the other hand, voices are being raised up by some section of people to stop the revolutionary movement, which in fact would be the greatest mistake ever made by the people of the region," Oken maintained.
But the truth is even if 20 percent of the hardships and inconveniences being faced by the people are caused by revolutionary organisations and their cadres, 30 percent have been created by Indian Security Forces, state forces and fake revolutionary organizations while the remaining 50 percent by the government of India, he observed.
He went on to say that the aim of government of India is to reduce the productive forces of the state and create a sense of insecurity among the people so that they can control the administration of the state.
Their aim is to keep the people like the animals in the zoo by providing some crore of rupees.
In a colonist region, there is no need to promote or develop work culture, productivity of new inventions and products or grooming of entrepreneurs.
It only needs to cultivate the art of deception, corruption and snatching.
Under such a situation, a society will automatically lost the work culture and adopt the way of deception and robbing.
Moreover, in such a society, there would be no trust among the people and they will think one another as their enemies.
By and by that society will lose its unity and there will be no mutual cooperation among the people.
Today, people of Manipur have lost trust over themselves.
They are now thinking that they cannot live alone without the help of the India government.
They have no faith on their future and they become persons who are waiting for their death.
People of the state seem to have forgotten that before 1949, Manipur was a sovereign country with people leading a happy and prosperous life.
So, the time has come for the people of Manipur to join hands and rise up to free the Manipuri society and its people from the colonial rule, Oken said.
