Local club resolves to stop buying goods from non-locals

Imphal, July 23 2013:
Endorsing the movement of Joint Committee of Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) for implementation of Inner Line Permit System in the State, Social Welfare Club and Meira Paibee Lup of Hiyanglam Makha Leikai have resolved to ban sale of land to non-locals and also refrain from buying goods from non-local traders.
According to a release issued by the General Secretary of Social Welfare Club E Kunjakeshwar, the Social Welfare Club and Meira Paibee Lup convened a meeting today to discuss implementation of Inner Line Permit System and State Cabinet's decision to takeover Sana Konung.
The meeting resolved that the club would render utmost support to the movement for implementation of Inner Line Permit System in the State and also in the agitation against acquisition of Sana Konung by State Government.
It was also resolved that the locals of Hiyanglam Makha Leikai would stop buying goods from non-local traders as far as possible and also ban sale of land to non-locals.
The Club and Meira Paibee Lup have also resolved to take strict action against those people who defy the resolutions of the public meeting.
