The Loktak Development Authority Workers' & Employees' Union (LDAW&EU) has resolved to serve a cease work strike notice to the Government demanding 7th pay for all the employees of LDA.
The resolution was taken at a special general body meeting of the union which was held on Oct 12, 2021, said a statement issued by the union.

The meeting also unanimously resolved to push for Cabinet approval of their demand and not accept the pay implementation in LDA if the Government grants the 7th pay 'without notional effect'.
The union also questioned why LDA employees were kept out of 7th pay when employees of different departments or similar establishments like Police Housing Corporation, JNIMS etc.
have been given the same.
S Gandhar Singh, P Shyamkumar Singh, H Dharmendra Singh, Kh Mangoljao Singh and Kh Ranjit Singh were also authorized to serve the strike notice and obtained written support from other registered trade unions in LDA.
