Sianmuanthang re-elected to head CDDU till 2023

The Churachandpur District Disable Union has today re-elected their incumbent leader to lead the differently abled community in the district for the next three years.
The general assembly of the union was convened at Synod Hall to elect a new leader in connection with the expiration of the presidential tenure.
P Khamkhanthuam, Advocate and legal advisor to the union presided the election wherein 122 members exercised their franchise.
Former CDDU president T Sianmuanthang was re-elected to head the union one more time as 110 have voted in his favour.
Paul Rozarlien stood second with 12 votes while the third from the trio nominated for the presidential election failed to receive any vote.
The legal advisor sworn in Sianmuanthang to resume his new responsibilities, reports our correspondent.
Other office bearers of the union will be formed by the elected president.
S Khaikhopau Ngaihte, Deputy DEO Churachandpur also graced the event and lauded the community for their selfless activities despite having to face several hardships and limitations.
Members of the union with crooning talents entertained the gathering at regular intervals.
