Imphal, June 19 2016:
Volunteers of the Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) conducted a special drive today to check the prices
of goods being sold after they receive reports of goods being sold
at a higher rate despite the stern warning given earlier by them to
shopkeepers and businessmen not to hike the price of any com-
modity by taking advantage of the current economic blockade.
MSF has slammed the State Government for not taking any
measures to curb price rise and addressing the woes of the
people.
It has urged the shopkeepers/traders to display the
price list of commodities and if anyone is found not following
its order, the defaulting shop(s) will remain shut for one
month.
It has also appealed to the State Government and the
department concerned to take up appropriate measures in this
regard, informed a statement issued by publicity secretary of MSF.
