Brother appeals

Sorokhaibam Sanjoy, the brother of DI driver Sorokhaibam Nehru of Pukhao Khabam who went missing since January 12, has appealed for the safe release of his brother in case any group of individual is holding him captive.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, Sorokhaibam Sanjoy stated that his brother Nehru used to drive a line bus before he took up the job of transporting firewoods on a DI truck.
He explained that on the day Nehru went missing, they were transporting firewood from Pukhao to Sekmai when Nehru got down near Lairikyengbam Leikai saying that he wished to stay behind.
Sanjoy claimed that Nehru then left after boarding a white car which was driven by an unidentified individual and he has not been seen or heard from ever since.
The convenor of the JAC formed in connection with the disappearance, Okram Sharatchandra appealed to the concerned individual/ party for safe release of the driver taking into consideration the hardships and suffering of his family members.
The convenor also appealed to the police to take up necessary steps to find and rescue the missing individual at the earliest.
Sharatchandra also informed that a missing report was filed at Sagolmang P/S yesterday in connection with the disappearance.
