Month-long observance of Thang-Ta Day kicks off

The month-long observation of Thang-Ta Day to be held from October 16 - November 15 under the supervision of KIMACS has been ushered in with an event held today at the Head office of KIMACS at Palace Compound.
The event was organised by Thang-Ta Day Observation Committee under the theme "Thang-Ta For Social Change".
A press release issued by Thang-Ta Day Observation Committee has stated that the function was attended by Ningthoujam Ajitkumar, president KIMACS/convener Thang-Ta Day Observation Committee; Leitanthem Damendro, advisor KIMACS/vice chairman Thang-Ta Day Observation Committee, the members of KIMACS, Thang-Ta Day Observation Committee and students and supporters of Thang-Ta.
The press release further appealed to the various Thang-Ta organisations, teachers of the craft, CSOs and citizens of the land to participate in this month-long event and spread this indigenous form of martial arts in different corners of the world.
KIMACS and Thang-Ta Day Observation Committee also requested the people to partake in the month-long activities and events organised by the aforementioned organisations.
