Keishamthong AC sitting MLA Laisom Ibomcha Singh, on Thursday, said he will contest from the party that will form the next Government.
He was speaking at the 92nd birth anniversary celebration of RK Chandrajitsana Singh (RKCS) held at RKCS Art Gallery complex at Keishamthong today.
Attending as chief guest, MLA Laisom Ibomcha said different political parties have approached him to contest the upcoming election as their candidate.
“I for one, have decided to contest from the party that will form the next Government”, Ibomcha said.
The MLA said he will take into consideration the opinions of his supporters and workers before making a decision.
He said his party, the NCP, is unable to do anything worthwhile for the people.
“I am an MLA but, i have not amassed any amount of personal wealth.
I am a very poor person.
I own two vehicles that were bought with a loan because i needed them.
Above all these i get monetary demands from various organisations,” the MLA said.
He assured to provide all possible assistance for the development of RKCS if he is voted to power next year.
RKCS Museum of Arts of Crafts chairman RK Gopal and cultural activist Dr Makhonmani Mongsaba also attended the celebration that was held under the aegis of RKCS Museum of Arts and Crafts, Imphal.
The gathering, led by MLA L Ibomcha, paid floral tributes to the picture of late artist RK Chandrajitsana Singh (RKCS) as a show of respect.
Prizes were also distributed to the winners of the painting competition that was held as part of the celebration.
