State filmmaker shines in Hollywood competition

Irengbam Amarjit Singh, a young and upcoming film maker from Manipur, has been selected for the coveted International Student Film Festival conducted by Reelshow International, UK.
His pet project "XXY Energy Drink" has been declared one of the two finalists under the 30 seconds TV commercial category.
The 28-year-old film maker received a diploma in digital film making from the Bengaluru based Flash Frame Visual Academy of Film and Television and adjudged "best student" in 2010-11 by the institute.
He has conceptualized and designed the logo (presently in use) for Manipur State Cooperative Bank, Imphal, besides also conceptualizing the logo of Bandana Films, Manipur.
Besides the selection-wining XXY Energy Drink, Mr Singh's other projects are Wear Helmet (1min 37 sec), Gamer (1 min 32 sec), and The Call (14 mins).
While he stays in Bengaluru and could not reached his uncle and senior journalist Irengbam Arun said that he is very proud of Amarjit for bringing laurel to the small and insignificant Northeast state in the global Hollywood competition.
Irengbam Amarjit Singh is the only Indian student through out the world to be selected, said Flash Frame Visual Academy of Film and Television, while also added that he is a good visualizer and has strong skills in filmmaking.
