MAD Expo 2018 from September 14

Manipur Architects' Forum (MAF) is all set to organise a first ever Material, Architecture, Design Expo (MAD Expo 2018) at the premises of Manipur Trade and Expo Centre in Lamboikhongnangkhong, Imphal from September 14 to 16.Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club, secretary MAF Rojen said that the MAD Expo 2018 will be a first of its kind in the State which will bring together the leaders and professionals from architecture, design and construction industries and showcase their best creations, innovations, relative products and services.
The expo aims at diversifying business opportunities in the region, whilst building a platform for industry professionals to interchange ideas and build networks for betterment of the society, environment and the industry, he said.
The MAD Expo 2018 will see ministries, industry stalwarts and representatives sharing their views and vision.
The exhibition will be showcasing a wide range of industry-related products and services.
The expo will house a total of about 56 stalls, he said.
Eminent leaders and experts will hold discussion highlighting industry trends and issues concerned.
Several products will be launched at the expo with introduction of latest innovations in building materials and services through presentations and campaign, he said.
To ignite interest for architecture and its allied fields in the young budding minds of school children, the expo will organise painting competitions for the students.
The expo will exhibit architecture and urban photography, Rojen said.
The exhibitors will have the opportunity to be part of Manipur's growth as the door to the ASEAN countries opened under the "Act East Policy", he said.
Manipur Architects' Forum (MAF) is a non-profit organisation based in Imphal, founded in 2014 with the aim of providing a platform for architects in the State to interact intellectually and share ideas for growth and development of the profession.
The forum now has more than 75 registered architects, said representatives of MAF.
