Imphal, November 07 2015 :
Just as all political parties have their own ideologies, every politician should have own principles.
However, in Manipur, politicians have turned politics into some sort of "drama" which is unfortunate, observed Chief Minister O Ibobi.
The Chief Minister was speaking at a political conference organised by Khongman Development Committee at Khongman Zone III Community Hall in connection with the November 21 bye-polls.
Attending the conference as the Chief Guest, O Ibobi said that in democratic countries, people elect their representatives.
However, there are many politicians here who do not stand by any principles of party ideologies.
Such politicians have failed to make best use of the rights and powers given by the public and they have turned politics into a drama, said Ibobi.
Pointing out that this was not a good sign,, the Chief Minister asked what will happen when such politicians are elected to rule a State like Manipur.
Launching an attack on the BJP, the Chief Minister said that communal violence continues to erupt in the country where communal parties cause violence invoking sentiments.
Communalism breeds in most of the States ruled by the BJP.
The people of India have observed the country's fate after the BJP led NDA Government captured power at the Centre.
The people of Manipur are also facing the threat of disintegration under a BJP led Government at the Centre, pointed out Ibobi.
Reacting against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement on bringing back all black moneys stashed in foreign countries allegedly by Congress leaders, Ibobi asked what has the BJP done in the last two years.
He reminded that during the UPA regime led by the Congress, the Centre brought development in many fields including education, health and employment.
But after BJP came into power, it has been encouraging wars between communities pursuing different religious faiths and speaking different languages, pointed out the Chief Minister.
