When Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam inspected the Heitupokpi SPO Outpost as part of his inspection programme of some police stations in Imphal East, Thoubal and Chandel today, only Roben was present at the outpost out of the total 50 SPOs.
Gaikhangam asked the lone SPO, "Do you know me?" .
But, the SPO's reply surprised everyone present there.
Actually, Roben did not know that the person whom he was talking with was the Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam.
"Impressed" with Roben's reply, Gaikhangam immediately pulled out a Rs.500-note from his wallet and handed it to him.
