Refuting the allegation of khullakpa of Kangchup Chiru village Akung Tha ga as 'concocted stories and plan to sow seeds' of enmity, hatred and communal tension among the peace loving villagers of Kang chup Makhom village', the Kangchup Makhom Village Authority has clarified that the AR-UG clashes had actually occurred in the village area of Kangchup Makhom and in fact the people of the village have been living under fear psychosis as a result.
In a joint statement signed by its secretary and chairman, Kangchup Makhom Village Authority asserted that there is no question of inciting tension in Kang chup Chiru area from the side of Kangchup Makhom village.
The two brothers of chief of Kangqhup Makh om village have only asked the three persons of Kang chup Chiru village who were came across along the road why they were laughing when the people of their neighboring village were in the grip of tension.
So there is no question of trying to abduct them or leaving them behind after being chased by the villagers of Kangchup Chiru vi 11 age, the statement said, adding that khullakpa of Kangchup Chiru village should be held responsible for any untoward incident which may occur in the future.
Body disposal: The body of a suspected ZPC cadre shot was shot dead during a reported encounter by personnel of 8 Assam Rifles on the night of January 29 at New Chahjol under Chakpi-karong PS of Chandel district would be disposed off if no one come to claim the same by tomorrow, according to a statement issued by CO of Chakpikarong PS.
The statement described the slain UG suspect whose body is still laying at the mortuary of RIMS Hospital to be around 5 feet tall with whitish complexion, lean tardy structure with a tattoo of diamond of the playing cards on his left arm and hair cut short.
Further it is said that the slain UG suspect who appears to be around 20 to 25 years of age was found clad in black colour round neck shirt, dark blue nylon jacket, blue color track pant and hunting boots.
On the other hand, one of the body of the two UG suspects who were killed by 29 AR during an encounter at Leibi in Chandel district on the night of January 30 is also still laying at the mortuary of RIMS as it has not yet been identified.
