Non-local man dies from multiple head injuries

Kangpokpi, January 05 2013 :
One non-Manipuri man who was found with multiple head inquiries succumbed at CHC, Kangpokpi.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be established.
According to Kangpokpi Police, the man was found near Bimparao.
After being informed about it by the villagers, a police team rushed in to the spot and the man who was still breathing then was brought to CHC, Kangpokpi, where he succumbed to the injuries at around 3.30 pm.
Police have taken the body and deposited at the mortuary of RIMS Hospital for post-mortem and identification.
The police report further said that the man who appeared to be around 20 to 30 years of age, 5 feet and 5 inches tall with black curly hair, was found in a semi naked condition wearing only a Black jacket, Kappa Yellow strips colour kameez and a red T-Shirt without any pant.
The medical report said that he died from multiple head injuries.
Meanwhile, Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organization (KWWO) has strongly condemned the incident.
In a statement, KWWO said that denizens of Kangpokpi and its surrounding want to live in peace and harmony.
So, 'we are totally against such criminal activities in the area and womenfolk would not tolerate any activity which can disturb the peaceful environment.
In the same vein, Sadar Hills Women Union has denounced the incident of causing multiple head injuries to the non-Manipur man as an inhuman act and appealed to the State Government for a proper mechanism for restoring confidence among the people in the rule of law.
The two women bodies have also conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family members.
