Imphal, November 04 2020:
In order to avoid November-December queues of pensioners around the EPFO offices for registration of Jeevan Praman Patra (JPP) amidst COVID-19 pandemic, few measures have been taken up under the direction of Central Provident Fund Commissioner, Ministry of Labour and Employment.
The Assistant PF Commissioner, Special State Office, Imphal, in a press release, informed EFPO pensioners to visit their nearest CSCs or bank branch to register their JPP round this year.
The JPP will be valid for one year from the date of the registration, it said.
Those who have registered with JPP after January, 2020 need not to register till the end of the year, it said.
More than 3 lakh Common Service Centers (CSC) opened across the country are authorized to do JPP registration and as such pensioners may avail the facility by visiting nearest CSC, it said while adding that Bank branches should also do the work of registration as done earlier.
Pensioners who have been issued PPOs this year also need not to register their JPP, it continued.
