Imphal, September 04 2011:
The United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) has suggested not to observe the 13th September as Black Day under the motto 'Forgive and forget' and look for the future of the Kuki nation for a united Khulmigam.
However, the organization also remember the people who have lose their lives in the ethnic clash "but for the future of us we much start thinking internationally and not locally for Khulmigam" said a press statement released by J.M.Zou, Info & Publicity UKLF.
The release further said that the 13th September has been observed for a long time as Kuki Black day in memory of the Kuki's who have been killed in the ethnic clash in the early 90s.But this observation has hampered the unity among the Hills people of the state and also peaceful co-existence and harmony among the indigenous tribe of the land.
Moreover, the new generation youngster have been cowed down by this Black Day which greatly disturbed their mind in some other unwanted ideas instead of thinking about the future prospect of the society as a whole.
Being Christian brethren this observation will in the long run ruin the peaceful co-existence among the Hills people, the press release added.
