Clean India Campaign kicks off

A one-month long, "Clean India Campaign" was kicked off on Sunday with a plogging run and cleanliness drive from the Traffic Island of Manipur University.
A release issued by Dr M Nodiyachand Singh, NSS Cell co-ordinator, Manipur University, informed that the plogging run and cleanliness drive was led by Professor N Lokendra Singh, Vice Chancellor, Manipur University as the chief guest.
The plogging run started from the Traffic Island and went around the campus via SBI Bank- Health Centre- International Girls Hostels- Western Side of Staff Quarters- Boundary Walls- Chandranadi river- Canteen road- Old Social Science Block and NSS Office.
The programme was attended by Professor W Chandbabu Singh, Registrar, Manipur University, NSS Unit-1 PO, Dr S Sunil Singh, NSS Unit-II PO, Dr M Macha Chaoreikanba, NSS Unit-III-PO, Dr H Suraj Singh and different heads, deans, directors among others.
Around 180 volunteers from NSS Unit-I, II & III and research scholar students from boys' and girls' hostels also participated in the programme.
