Thoubal quarantine centre volunteer tests COVID-19 negative

Thoubal, July 03 2020:
The quarantine centre volunteer from Thoubal who tested COVID-19 positive on June 25 last, was among 4 persons who tested negative today for the disease.
The volunteer was offering catering service to some community quarantine centres opened within the Thoubal Assembly Constituency when he tested positive for the virus.
The other three persons who tested negative for the disease include a 7-year-old girl who returned recently from Delhi via flight.
The girl was tested positive on June 26 and was kept at the isolation ward of Thoubal District Hospital along with her mother who had tested negative on tests conducted earlier.
On the other hand, as per the RIMS COVID-19 Control Unit, three more from Thoubal district tested positive today taking the district's tally to 59 .
With 30 recovered the district now has 29 active cases.
Meanwhile, reports from the district administration stated that 220 returnees are being accommodated at various community quarantine centres in Thoubal.
It may be noted that the district administration Thoubal had traced 58 people who were in close contact with the catering volunteer after he was tested positive besides taking up necessary measures.
All 58 had tested negative for the disease.
