PREPAK(Pro) blames controversial merger

Imphal, May 31 2018:
Contending that the alleged forcible merger of Kangleipak into the Indian Union is the root cause of the present insurgency movement, the proscribed PREPAK (Pro) has categorically stated that the solution of the present Indo-Kangleipak imbroglio lies in understanding the 'historical blunder' committed by India.
Greeting all the communities of Kangleipak and fraternal revolutionary organisations of WESEA on the occasion of the eighth 'Progressive Day', PREPAK (Pro) Chairman L Paliba M accused India of attempting to weaken the collective will of the people to question themselves whether they can survive economically, as vast tracts of arable land which are lifelines for many farmers and workers, have been destroyed with the installation of army camps, and endlessly decimating agricultural land in the name of infrastructural development.
This is India's game-plan for instilling dependency syndrome.
It is obvious that in the absence of a strong indigenously based economic foundation, dreaming of taking part in development process with external investments is the thinking of infantile leaders.
Even in mainland India, so called Adivasis cannot own their land and natural resources, alleged the PREPAK (Pro) leader.
"Covertly, India has been trying to erase and uproot our indigenous identities.
So it is imperative to know that our future generation will be in peril if we trust Indian big capitalists.
It is not the question of begging for development from India.
It is a question of getting back our usurped political power to develop ourselves independently," Paliba alleged.
The rising wave of Hindu Nationalism reinterprets the so called "Anti-Indians" particularly those who are unable to sing National anthem and those unable to speak Hindi.
It also includes those who are beef-eaters, and those who criticize the Government's policy.
India's once respected spiritual values of Indian Civilization and spiritual democracy have been eroded considerably as politicians use them as tools to enhance their political ends.
On what premises Kangleichas should be regarded as Indians as Kangleichas are different from Indians in terms of religion, language, tradition, foods and dresses.
Based upon such differences, Indians think every Kangleicha is anti-Indian and so unabatedly harass Kanglei people physically even to the extent of murdering many Kanglei students in mainland India, it alleged.
With the maxim of 'Bigger is Better', Hindu religion is also reinterpreted on cultural basis to implement Indian expansionism.
Even though there are lots of wisdom and good advice in Bhagavad Gita, it also expresses that war is an unavoidable tool under the principle of 'War for Peace".
India follows the same war philosophy by invading Kashmir and NE States and uses its forces in Central India.
Such innate propensity to violent reactions and killings are ingrained in the DNA of Indian leaders.
Under the Big Stick Ideology of 'Speak softly and carry a big stick', many specially trained forces have been deployed to subdue the Maoist/Naxalites and to suppress insurgencies of Kashmir and North East.
As a part of the special military training, extra judicial killing, fake-encounter and Psychological Warfare are incorporated as training modules.
In the name of development, seeds of discord are sown among different communities.
Many development projects are tailor-made to incite communal disharmony over ownership of land and resources.
It was the British administration which connected Kangleipak with India politically, militarily and commercially.
Before that, the relation was purely commercial and religious.
With the departure of the British rule, Indian leaders started nefarious plots to annex Kangleipak.
Indian leaders would have understood the fact about Kang-leipak's sovereignty considering the existence of the Treaty of Yandaboo (1826), Anglo-Manipuri War (1891), Women's War (1904/1939), July Agreement with the Governor of Assam (1947), Instrument of Accession, Standstill Agreement, Manipur Constitution Act (1947), Manipur General Election (1948),Constitutional monarchy, inauguration of Manipur State Assembly on 18 October 1948.Considering the long history of independent Kangleipak, Indian leaders understand the fact that "we can never be a part of India.
That was the reason why they had to allegedly annex Kangleipak without the consent of the people," further alleged the outfit.
The forcible merger of Kangleipak was against the wishes of its people.
It was illegal and has been the root cause of the present insurgency movement.
The solution of the present Indo-Kangleipak imbroglio lies in understanding this historical blunder committed by India, Paliba asserted.
