Sit in staged at Sangaiyumfam and Moirang Lamkhai against CAB

A sit in protest cum public meeting against CAB 2016 was jointly organised by Moirang Kendra Apunba Meira Paibi Ima Lup (MAMPIL) and Manipur Against CAB 2016 (MANPAC) at Moirang Lamkhai today while half of the road was blocked during the protest Autorickshaw and winger drivers, shop owners, women vendors and meira paibis of the locality and its adjacent area took part in the protest.
Briefing the media persons, advisor CIRCA, Ningthouja Lancha cautioned that the indigenous people of North East will be exterminated from its own land by the influx of migrants if CAB becomes an Act.
KEMKAL president, Y Sujit Kumar said that MLAs and Ministers of other States have openly opposed the Bill as it will bring about a huge demographic change in the region but the Ministers of the ruling Government in the State have not spoken a word against the Bill.
Thoubal: A sit in protest was also staged at Sangaiyumfam Nungfou Bazar today against CAB.
The protest was organized by Popular Front of India, Sangaiyumfam area and MSDO Sangaiyumfam and was joined by the students and locals of the surrounding area after holding a rally which commenced from their respective schools and leikai(s) .
Speaking by the sideline of the protest, PFI, Sangaiyumfam area president, Abdul Razak stated that the CAB 2016 should be withdrawn at the earliest as it will pose a grave threat to the indigenes of North East India, particularly in Manipur if becomes an Act.
