Imphal, May 28 2014:
Citing several errors in the questions and answer-key, the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of five students' bodies of the State has demanded Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) to conduct the Combined Manipur Civil Services Examination-2014 (Prelims) afresh.
Talking to media persons at the office of All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) located at DM College Campus here today, Convenor of the JAC Thangjam Premananda said that 15 questions out of the total 200 questions in Prelims were found to be erroneous and grace marks were awarded for those questions unlike other competitive examinations.
There was laxity on the part of the question setters.
Moreover, the MPSC produced different varieties of answer-key and the result of the preliminary examination was announced in two phases.
The authorities concerned should look into this issue and conduct the prelims afresh as soon as possible without causing further trouble to the candidates.
The students would launch intense agitations if the Manipur Civil Services Examination-2014 (Prelims) is not conducted afresh, Premananda warned.
