Imphal, March 25 2009: The common candidate of the MPP, NCP, MSCP and NPP for the outer Manipur parliamentary constituency for the coming Lok Sabha election, LB Sona has filed his nomination for the election today.

LB Sona has submitted his nomination paper to the Returning Officer for the outer Manipur Parliamentary, the Deputy Commissioner of Thoubal district this morning around 11.The names of the proposal list of the nomination file include among others, A Kunjo of the NCP, V Hangkhanlian of the NPP, N Sovakiran of the MPP, and Doukhomang Khongsai of the NCP.

LB Sona (50) son of Siamkung is a resident of Lailam Veng, Lamka.

Meanwhile, the names of micro observers for the Lok Sabha election in outer Manipur Parliamentary constituency slated for April 16 have been announced.

Two, out of 9 will be reserved.

Rehearsal for the selected micro observers will be held at 1pm on April 9 at the Conference Hall of the Thoubal DC, according to source.

The first round of EVM Training for polling personnel for the ensuing election in Thoubal district has kicked off today at the Counting Hall, Thoubal DC complex.

The training will continue till March 30.Meanwhile, the second phase of EVM Training for polling personnel of Senapati district will be held from March 26 till April 1.Training for Presiding Officers and Number one Polling Officers will be held on March 26, 28 and March 30 at the Indoor Stadium and DRDA Complex, Senapati district headquarters.

Training for Polling Officers (No.3) will be held on March 31 and April 1 at the Indoor stadium, according to the source.

At the same time, an election control room and a media centre have been opened at Chandel district.
