State Shiv Sena delegates meet party president, submit memorandum

Shiv Sena Manipur State has submitted memorandum to the party's National president Uddhav Thackery highlighting various issues of the State including the need of Inner Line Permit (ILP).
The memorandum was submitted to the party president at Mumbai where a delegate of the Shiv Sena Manipur State led by State president Moirangthem Tombi Singh.
The State delegates which include State party secretary Lien Gangte, general secretary admin Chingtham Surjeet Singh, vice president Yuva Sena M Sony.
Singh and general secretary Yuva Sena N Jugin Singh.
The State delegates met party president Uddhav Thackery, Union Minister Anant Gangaram Geete and party's general secretary and MP Anil Desai on the sideline of Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park in Mumbai and submitted the memorandum.
In the memorandum, Shiv Sena Manipur State highlighted the urgent need of Inner Line Permit system in the State to safeguard the State form illegal migrants in view of growing Act' East Policy of which the State is a doorway.
It also sought the party's interest and support in the establishment of National Highway Protection Force and firm stand of the National party in the contentious Naga Framework Agreement.
The memorandum sought the interest of the party leaders for revival of the spinning mill lying idle at Loitang Khunou, Imphal West.
The revival of the mill will provide jobs to many unemployed youths of the State, it said pointing out that 'more than 8 lakh youth are unemployed'.
It also sought the party's support in Shiv Sena Manipur's demand for revival of the only Manipur tea Estate in Jiribam.
Approximately Rs i crore revenue can be generated annually and hundreds will get job, it said urging the party which is a constituent partners of the BJP led NDA Government in the Centre.
It sought the attention of the Union Cabinet Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Sector Enterprises Anant Geete regarding the matter.
It requested the party leaders and the Union Minister Anant Geete to visit the State and strengthen the party's presence in the State before 2019 Lok Sabha Election.
The party leaders and Union Minister will visit the State in November, said a statement of Ch Surjeet Singh, general secretary Shiv Sena Manipur State today.
