NE political meet on Feb 20

With the objective of bringing like minded political parties of the North East Region, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is hosting a meeting of the regional political parties on February 20 next at Aurangabad, New Delhi.
The meeting was convened by the National Congress Party (NCP) and Manipur People Party (MPP) has been invited to attend the meeting, its president Dr Nimaichand Luwang said today.
He said that NCP, national secretary PA Sangma invited MPP informing receiving the same invitation by the NCP, state unit's president Radhabinod Koijam.
MPP will take part in the meeting issues related with policies and programmes for the development of the region will also be discussed apart from paving a way for re-poll alliance of the regional parties with the NCP and other national level parties excluding the Congress, he said.
A wave of anti Congress is sweeping across the country and with this people have started keeping their view towards the Congress.
As the region is still underdeveloped compared to other parts of the country, there is the need for a concerted effort of the like minded political parties to root out Congress from power in the region, he said.
In meeting MPP will bring up matter related with the developmental policies and programmes of the region, Nimachand added.
