CJM remands M/S Woodhill Infrastructure Limited exec director

Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West remanded the Executive Director ofM/S Woodhill Infrastructure Limited, Manish Chaudhary, to judicial custody remand for failing to pay the bail amount and bail surety before the Court today.
Manish Chaudhary, who was arrested by Imphal West district police in connection with a fake bank guarantee in the name of HDFC Bank, Imphal Branch, amounting to Rs 66,20,000 in favour of M/s Woodhill Infrastructure Limited (which had been awarded the contract for temporary restoration of the 40 kilometres long Tamenglong Khongsang National Highway 2 road) was produced before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West with prayer for remand today.
On the other hand, the counsel of the accused filed a remand objection along with a bail application for releasing him on bail.
After hearing the APP and the defense counsel as well as going through the case records, the Court passed an order to release the accused on a bail bond of two surety amounting to Rs 1 lakh each.
However, the accused failed to submit the required bail amount and surety before the Court and as such the Court remanded him to judicial custody remand till November 20 .
