One-day awareness prog on DBTL held

A one-day awareness programme on DBTL (Direct Benefit Transfer of LPG) scheme was held on February 13 at Mini Auditorium, Dorcas Hall, New Lamka, Chura-chandpur, Deputy Manager, LPG-S said in a statement.
H Mangchinkhup, EM, ADC Churachandpur inaugurated the program.
Out of 3 lakh customers 1.25 lakhs (41 percent) have enrolled as CTC/BTC customer (eligible for availing subsidy scheme) under PDS.
Churachandpur tops the chart with 60 percent followed by Thoubal with 48 percent.
Participants were urged to enrol and campaign for the submission of bank details at their respective LPG outlet as all 14.2 kg cylinders will be sold at market determined price starting April 1.Customers with multiple connections were requested to surrender their additional connections during the awareness programme.
District administration also appreciated the initiative taken up by the Indian Oil in particular for simplifying the procedures for new connection.
