On further enquiry, the Chief Medical Officer of Chandel district Dr N Birachandra told this Daily that PHSC at the Rilram centre has recently been upgraded to PHC with the initiative taken up by Dr O Ibomcha, Director of Health and National Health Mission, Manipur.

However, due to non-completion of the PHC building at Rilram centre, people of the adjoining villages are facing troubles for the time being.
The CMO assured that the building will be completed soon and the medical needs of the villagers will be provided adequately with the PHC being made 24X7 .
The village, the main occupation of which is agriculture, has a Primary school under the Autonomous District Council (ADC) with 40 students.

In respect of drinking water, the chief told this Daily that drinking water is brought from Sita Village with government-funded pipes.
But, the water available is not adequate for the villagers' consumption.
