Imphal, January 05 2015:
Chief Minister Okram Ibobi today left for New Delhi to attend a meeting on Indo-Myanmar border convened by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
The meeting scheduled on January 7 would deliberate on all contentious issues and border disputes between the two countries.
Notably, Manipur and Myanmar share a 380 Km long boundary.
Disappearance of border pillars along the international boundary and loss of Manipur's territory would also figure at the meeting.
Earlier, the State Government wrote to the Government of India to conduct a fresh border survey along Manipur sector of Indo-Myanmar border.
