State logs seven fresh cases

Seven Covid-19 positive cases were reported from four out of the state's 16 districts on Monday as the test positivity rate dropped to 2.0 per cent against the previous day's 6.3 percent.
Maximum of three cases were reported from Imphal West district whereas Kakching district had highest TPR of 4.8 per cent with one person found positive out of 21 samples tested in the past 24 hours.
The other virus affected districts are Imphal East 2/2.7 pc) and Bishnupur (1/3.8 pc) .
Barring Jiribam, Noney, Pherzawl and Tamenglong districts, sample testing was carried out in the remaining unaffected districts.
According to the daily government bulletins issued on Monday, seven persons including four males from among the general population were confirmed as the positive cases at different testing centres.
While informing that all necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the bulletins informed that the cumulative number of deaths related to the pandemic remained at 2120 as no death cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
With the discharge of three persons from Home Isolation (2) and Covid Care Facility (1), the cumulative number of recovered cases has reached 1,34,961, including 1,29,954 from among the general population and 5007 personnel of central armed police force (CAPF) .
As per the official record, the cumulative number of positive cases is 1,37,126 and the number of active cases is 45, all from among the general population.
The recovery rate is 98.42 per cent.
As on Sunday, a total of 286 D-type and 92 B-type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities.
In terms of vaccination, only 190 doses were administered in the last 24 hours taking the state's cumulative number of first dose recipients to 15,42,043 while 11,83,571 beneficiaries have been jabbed for the second time and 66,393 inoculated with the precautionary doses.
Among the districts, Kakching has the highest rate of first and second dose of vaccination at 78.18 per cent and 66.91 per cent respectively.
