Speaking to media persons, the president of KSA, Jiribam district council, L Bonson said that it is a matter of grave concern for the indigenous people and a pressing issue that non – Manipuris or the non locals are increasing rapidly like flood waters in the eight Assembly Constituencies of the State including Jiribam Assembly Constituency where non – Manipuris have already gained dominance and the indigenous people are getting pushed away from their own land .
Bonson added that KSA, Jiribam district council, strongly oppose such domination by the non-Manipuris and the non locals and staged the sit in protest along with the students to register their demands to the State Government for the reservations of the eight Assembly Constituencies for the indigenous people of Manipur .
He also cautioned the if the State Government fail to fulfil the demands of the people and the organisation, then the students organization will stir up intense agitation and protest until the demand is met.
