Refuting the report which appeared in the January 26 edition of this paper under the caption, 'Anomalies in tender process ?', a spokesperson of M/S Sanmati Traders said that they were awarded the work after due process.
Sanmati Traders, representing M/S Philips submitted its tender when it was floated under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission to instal Solar Street Lamps, said the spokesperson, Abhishek Jain.
In the first round no other firm submitted their tender and a second round of tender was again floated, he said and added that this time four firms, including M/S Sanmati submitted their tenders.
The bids of the three other firms were rejected on the ground that they violated the laid down norms and regulations and M/S Sanmati Traders was awarded the work, he added.
The qualification process of the firms was Conducted at SEC Testing Centre, Gurgaon, he added.
Even though the Gurgaon based SEC has given its nod to M/S Sanmati Traders, they are yet to be issued the work order and purchasing order.
