Cataract detection camp

Imphal, September 25 2016:
A free cataract detection camp was organised by the National Programme for Control of Blindness, Thoubal at Yairipok Community Health Centre today, reports our correspondent.
From April 2016 till date, a total of ten cataract detection camps have been organised at various places of Thoubal by the National Programme for Control of Blindness, Thoubal.
People diagnosed with cataract are operated free of cost at JNIMS, Imphal.
Altogether, 196 people were screened of today during the camp which 43 were detected with cataract.
The diagnosed patients will be operated on September 27 at JNIMS, Imphal, informed NPCB, Thoubal Nodal Officer Dr Ksh Memcha.
